Cammie Basseri is a writer and former journalist whose creative nonfiction explores identity, poverty, disability, and credibility through a feminist lens. She began her career reporting for Bay Area newspapers in the early 2000s. Her work has appeared in The Rumpus, The Manifest Station, The Woolfer, Medium and The Half Moon Bay Review. She is the author of the forthcoming memoir It Must Have Been Beautiful and is at work on a fictional novel, The Runners. She splits her time writing along the coasts of the United States and the shores of Ireland.
